INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION:
Nada Yorke, LCSW (ret) and retired probation officer, is the co-owner of Yorke Consulting and has over forty years of experience in the criminal justice system as a probation officer, victim advocate, domestic violence expert witness, and batterer intervention facilitator. She specializes in domestic violence training for batterer program facilitators, victim advocates, law enforcement, social workers, probation officers, and abuser intervention providers. Her training experience includes probation and law enforcement basic academy and advanced officer courses, and she has served as a court-certified expert witness in domestic violence cases. Ms. Yorke assisted the Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC) in developing the 2-day DV Core and BIP Best Practices, as well as other domestic violence-related courses. She also provided professional consultation for the Battered Women’s Justice Project (BWJP) to develop and deliver curriculum for the Improving Community Supervision Responses Train the Trainer on Probation and Parole Response to Domestic Violence. In 2015, Yorke Consulting was retained by the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) of Kern County to develop a strategic plan addressing prison realignment issues under AB109.
Ms. Yorke has implemented batterer intervention programs in prisons, jails, community-based organizations, and Day Reporting Centers for both men and women referred for domestic violence. Her research results from prison and community programs have been published in The Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. She has also authored batterer intervention curricula in both English and Spanish, which have been evaluated by the CEBC as Level 3-Promising Research Evidence for domestic violence and anger management. In 2024, she released ROAR—Resolving Our Anger Responsibly, an anger management curriculum currently undergoing research evaluation. In 2025, she launched A New Path Forward—Developing Healthy Relationships for Life for youth and teens, which is being piloted in school settings and juvenile institutions. Her upcoming work, Rebuilding Trust: A 52-Week Trauma-Informed Parenting Approach, is planned for release by late 2026.
A sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, Ms. Yorke is recognized for her expertise in working with domestic violence offenders to break the intergenerational cycle of family violence and child maltreatment.

Training Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Yorke Consulting trainings are intentionally limited in size to support an interactive, high-quality learning experience. Once a training reaches capacity, registration is closed and additional participants are not accepted. Because a cancellation may result in a training seat that can no longer be filled, the following cancellation policy applies:
More Than 10 Days Before the Training
Cancellations received more than 10 calendar days before the training start date are eligible for a refund, less a 10% administrative and processing fee.
6–10 Days Before the Training
Cancellations received 6–10 calendar days before the training start date are eligible for a 50% refund. As an alternative to a refund, the participant may request that the full registration amount be applied as a credit toward a future Yorke Consulting training.
5 Days or Fewer Before the Training
Cancellations received 5 calendar days or fewer before the training start date are nonrefundable. However, the registration may be transferred to another participant, or, with approval, the registration fee may be applied as a credit toward a future Yorke Consulting training.
Training Credits
Training credits must be used within 12 months of the original training date and may be applied toward another Yorke Consulting training of equal or greater value. Any difference in registration cost will be the responsibility of the participant.
Participant Substitutions
Participant substitutions are welcome when circumstances prevent the original registrant from attending. Please notify Yorke Consulting before the training begins so registration and training records can be updated. Agency registrations may be transferred to another employee of the same agency at no additional charge.
No-Shows
Participants who do not attend and have not contacted Yorke Consulting before the training begins are not eligible for a refund or training credit.
Self-Study and Online Training Materials
For trainings that include advance access to online courses, videos, downloadable materials, or other proprietary training resources, refunds or credits may be limited once those materials have been accessed.
If Yorke Consulting Cancels or Reschedules a Training
If Yorke Consulting cancels a training, participants may choose either a full refund or transfer of the full registration amount to another Yorke Consulting training. If a training is rescheduled, participants who are unable to attend the new date may choose a refund or training credit.
Yorke Consulting understands that unexpected circumstances and emergencies occur. Exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Yorke Consulting.
