A New Path Forward – Facilitator Guide

A New Path Forward-Developing Healthy Relationships for Life is an innovative, highly relational, strength-based program developed for adolescents who are seeking how to have healthy interpersonal relationships. The materials can benefit any youth who desire to develop more self-awareness and healthier relationship behaviors, whether they are court-ordered into either anger management or domestic violence programs or just desiring improved relationships. The innovative strategies promote cooperative learning for individual growth and improved connectedness with others. The interventions and subject matter throughout the four Phases are anchored in clinically sound and research-informed approaches.

This step-by-step Facilitator Guide works in tandem with a colorful, interactive Participant's Handbook. The thirteen lessons cover a variety of topics with daily monitors to allow the students to practice the material they are learning so they develop greater confidence in themselves and their new behaviors.

The program is divided into four phases of thirteen 90-minute lessons, with an optional 30-minute segment for those programs requiring 2-hr sessions. Each phase builds upon information provided in the previous phase, so that by the end of Phase Four, the student will be more confident of themselves and possess healthier decision-making skills as they move toward independence and adulthood.
