Addressing Attachment Issues in BIPs:
This advanced, 8-hr, virtual workshop, designed for group facilitators of batterer intervention and anger management programs, will provide an overview of the attachment styles, both secure and insecure, and how they are revealed in the interpersonal offender population. We will examine how evidence-based treatment strategies help us create a secure base thereby contributing to increased engagement and reduced long-term recidivism. Participants will gain practical tools to address attachment-related challenges in batterer intervention programs (BIPs) and promote healthier relationship dynamics.
Addressing Stalking Behaviors in BIPs:
This advanced, 8-hr, virtual workshop, designed for group facilitators of batterer intervention and anger management programs, explores the intersection of stalking behaviors and violence, equipping facilitators with the knowledge and skills to identify, address, and intervene in stalking-related behaviors. Participants will learn intervention techniques, facilitation strategies, and ways to incorporate stalking-specific content into abuser intervention programs.
Beyond the Behavior: Understanding the Motivations, Mindsets, and Intervention Needs Behind IPV:
This advanced, 8-hr, virtual workshop, designed for batterer intervention program and anger management program facilitators, explores the motivation and mindset behind abusive behaviors and how understanding those motivations can strengthen intervention. Participants will learn to distinguish behavior from underlying motivation, examine women’s use of force and the formation of relationship beliefs, and apply advanced facilitation strategies to individual needs. Facilitators will gain practical skills to help clients move beyond changing behaviors to addressing the thinking that continues to fuel abusive choices.
From Compliance to Change: Creating the Conditions for Authentic Change in BIPs:
This advanced, 8-hr, virtual workshop, designed for batterer intervention program and anger management program facilitators, explores change as a process and how to recognize meaningful change versus simple compliance. Participants will examine readiness for change, barriers to engagement, motivational interviewing strategies, and ways to build internal motivation and personal responsibility. Facilitators will learn to identify indicators of accountability, empathy, behavioral consistency, and sustained change while gaining practical strategies for creating conversations that encourage authentic, lasting change.
Training Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Yorke Consulting trainings are intentionally limited in size to support an interactive, high-quality learning experience. Once a training reaches capacity, registration is closed and additional participants are not accepted. Because a cancellation may result in a training seat that can no longer be filled, the following cancellation policy applies:
More Than 10 Days Before the Training
Cancellations received more than 10 calendar days before the training start date are eligible for a refund, less a 10% administrative and processing fee.
6–10 Days Before the Training
Cancellations received 6–10 calendar days before the training start date are eligible for a 50% refund. As an alternative to a refund, the participant may request that the full registration amount be applied as a credit toward a future Yorke Consulting training.
5 Days or Fewer Before the Training
Cancellations received 5 calendar days or fewer before the training start date are nonrefundable. However, the registration may be transferred to another participant, or, with approval, the registration fee may be applied as a credit toward a future Yorke Consulting training.
Training Credits
Training credits must be used within 12 months of the original training date and may be applied toward another Yorke Consulting training of equal or greater value. Any difference in registration cost will be the responsibility of the participant.
Participant Substitutions
Participant substitutions are welcome when circumstances prevent the original registrant from attending. Please notify Yorke Consulting before the training begins so registration and training records can be updated. Agency registrations may be transferred to another employee of the same agency at no additional charge.
No-Shows
Participants who do not attend and have not contacted Yorke Consulting before the training begins are not eligible for a refund or training credit.
Self-Study and Online Training Materials
For trainings that include advance access to online courses, videos, downloadable materials, or other proprietary training resources, refunds or credits may be limited once those materials have been accessed.
If Yorke Consulting Cancels or Reschedules a Training
If Yorke Consulting cancels a training, participants may choose either a full refund or transfer of the full registration amount to another Yorke Consulting training. If a training is rescheduled, participants who are unable to attend the new date may choose a refund or training credit.
Yorke Consulting understands that unexpected circumstances and emergencies occur. Exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Yorke Consulting.
